Reservations and Tickets
For reservations, please call a JAL office or your travel agent. Also you are kindly requested to tell us your phone address we can contact you in your departure and destination areas when you make reservations. No duplicate bookings can be accepted in the same itinerary. Your names on the reservation shall not be replaced with other names. JAL will provide carriage only to the passenger named in the ticket. If you wish to cancel or change your reservations,please call a JAL office or your travel agent before flight departure. Certain fares may restrict voluntary changes of reservation or routing. Failure to advise us of the changes may result in the cancellation of your onward and/or return flight reservations.
The period of validity of a ticket issued at normal fare shall be one year from the date of commencement of carriage, or, if no portion of the ticket is used, from the date of issue.The period validity of a ticket issued at special fare shall be subject to a validity provided in such fare rule.
Please be advised that you may have to pay an additional fare if you voluntarily change your reservation and make a stopover at any transit point indicated by an “X” mark on your ticket.
Flight coupons must be used in sequence from the place of departure as shown on the passenger's coupon.


(Refund)
Application for refund should be made during the period of validity of the ticket or MCO (Miscellaneous Charges Order) or not later than 30 days after the expiration. All tickets/MCOs are subject to a minimum refund charge of \1,000 (or the equivalent amount in a foreign currency), or if a ticket contains fare restrictions that limit the refundable value and require a higher fee and/or penalties to be deducted upon refund of the ticket this amount will be assessed. There may be no refundable amount left as a result of refund fare calculation. Some tickets can only be refunded in the country of payment due to the currency regulations applicable to the currency of payment.


(Loss of Tickets)
If you wish to continue your journey, Japan Airlines International (JALI) may issue a replacement ticket, if JALI receives satisfactory proof from you that a valid JALI ticket for the relevant flight was duly issued, you agree not to refund the lost ticket, and you sign the “Indemnity Agreement for Lost Ticket & Replacement Ticket” to indemnify JALI from any loss and damage incurred by JALI in connection with issue of such replacement ticket. JALI will collect \10,000 (or the equivalent amount in a foreign currency) as a non-refundable charge for issue of a replacement ticket.
If you cancel your journey or if you purchase a new ticket, you may apply for the Lost Ticket refund by completing the “Application for Refund of Lost Ticket/Indemnity Agreement”, not later than 30 days after the expiration of the lost ticket. JALI, under certain conditions and after certain period, will refund the lost ticket unless the lost ticket has been used or refunded. A \10,000 (or the equivalent amount in a foreign currency) of lost ticket refund charge will be assessed.

For applying some special fares such as Spouse fares, Family fares or Youth fares,proof of spouse relationship,family relationship or date of birth is required for issuing tickets.Certain special fares have embargo periods.

  • *For passengers on the U.S., Canadian and Australian routes: Passenger Reservation Records may be subject to access by the U.S., Canadian and Australian government authorities.

Passengers Requiring Special Assistance
In the following cases, advance information or additional preparation may be required. Please contact JAL international reservations for details.
1.
Expectant mother with following condition(s).
-Confinement may be expected within four weeks (this is normally from the 35th week of pregnancy), or
-There is uncertainty as to the time of confinement , or
-Multiple births may be expected, or
-There were previous premature births
2.
Unaccompanied minors from 5 years to 11 years of age.
Minors under 5 years old must be accompanied by an adult. As an air fare may be the same as an adult ticket fare, please check through JAL international reservations.
Also reservations are necessary for infant/child meals in advance.
3.
Passengers with physical or mental difficulties, visually impaired passengers or passengers having difficulties in moving independently that require individual attention or assistance.
4.
Passengers using battery powered wheelchairs.
5.
Passengers requiring the use of medical equipments onboard (such as oxygen bottles).

Fuel Surcharge(International Flights)
To cover the soaring fuel cost, fuel surcharge will be added to the price of tickets. We highly appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
